IPHONE VIDEO DOWNLOAD GUIDE

Save videos offline
on your iPhone.

A saved link helps you find a video. A completed download lets you watch it without an internet connection. Here is how to make the difference clear in VidKeep.

From a shared link to a local video

  1. Copy the video's share link

Open the individual public video in its source app and choose Share, then copy its link. Use a video link rather than an account or search page. Save only videos you own or have permission to keep.

  2. Paste into VidKeep

Open VidKeep and tap Paste on Home. You can also choose VidKeep in the system share sheet. Keep the app open while it finds and processes the video. Support and transfer behavior vary by source; check Supported Sources in the app.

  3. Wait for the download to finish

A title or cover appearing in your library does not mean the video file has been saved. Wait for the download to complete, then open the local video in VidKeep.

  4. Check it before you need it offline

Before a flight, a workout or a trip, test playback without a connection. If the item only opens the original website, you have a bookmark, not an offline copy. You can also import your own videos from Photos or Files.

How can I save TikTok videos on my iPhone?

For an eligible public TikTok video you are allowed to save, copy the video's share link, open VidKeep and tap Paste. Keep the app open during resolution and wait for the download to complete before relying on offline playback.

Availability can vary by video and region. Private, sign-in-only, restricted and verification-required videos are unsupported. TikTok photo posts and live streams are not supported. If the source cannot provide a usable file, saving the link does not create one. A Pro purchase does not unlock restricted content.

VidKeep is an independent app and is not affiliated with TikTok or other source platforms.

Can I keep a video if the original is deleted?

Yes, if you already completed the download and the local file is still on your device. The original link may stop working, but your local copy can still play.

VidKeep cannot retrieve an original that disappeared before you saved it. It also cannot restore local files lost after deleting the app, changing devices or deleting content unless you kept a usable backup. Verify a backup before removing your files.

Why did a link fail to download?

The video may have been removed, require sign-in or verification, be unavailable in your region, or use a format the current version cannot save. Some temporary failures can be retried. Check the message in VidKeep and the current in-app source support information.

Do not assume that every public link is downloadable. VidKeep does not bypass access restrictions, and a subscription does not change a source's availability.

What is free?

You can save unlimited links, import local videos and download 5 videos per day for free. Organization, playback, timestamped notes and ordinary backups are free. Each video in a supported collection counts separately. Monthly, yearly and one-time Lifetime Pro remove the daily download limit; source restrictions still apply.

Give your saved videos a place.

Keep recipes, workouts and lessons easy to find with categories, collections and timestamped notes.
