Save something useful.
Find it when you need it.
Recipes, workout routines and tutorials are easier to revisit when they have a place. Use VidKeep to organize saved videos and return to a specific moment with timestamped notes.
Organize saved recipe videos
Save an eligible video you have permission to keep, or import a file from Photos or Files. Put it in a category such as Cooking. A collection can hold related videos in an order you choose, such as the recipes you want to try this weekend.
Add your own note about what made the recipe useful: an ingredient swap, a cooking cue or the step you want to practice. Search titles, authors and notes when you need it again. Wait for each download to complete before expecting it to play offline in the kitchen.
Keep workout videos ready offline
Group saved routines into a Fitness category or an ordered collection. Use playback resume to continue where you stopped and change the playback speed when you want to review a movement. Check that the local videos play before leaving an internet connection.
VidKeep organizes the videos you choose. It does not create a workout plan or provide exercise instruction. Keep any guidance from the original creator with your notes.
A video player with timestamped notes
While watching a local video, add a note at the moment you want to remember. Later, open that note to return to the same point. A long tutorial can become a handful of useful moments: where a recipe changes texture, where a demonstration begins or where a technique is explained.
Your notes and playback progress stay with the item. Ordinary collection backups can include them, along with your ordinary videos and organization.
Offline videos for kids, without an endless feed
Parents can choose which saved videos appear in Kids mode. Completed local downloads play offline, and the mode does not add a recommendation feed. An optional daily viewing limit and parent check help you manage the session.
You choose and review the content; VidKeep does not supply children's videos or determine whether a video is suitable. It is a general-purpose video tool, not a content-filtering service. The parent check is separate from the Private Collection PIN and cannot unlock private items.
Private Collection is separate from ordinary browsing
Use a separate 6-digit PIN to keep private videos and notes out of the ordinary library and search. Face ID or Touch ID is optional. Closing the private area or sending the app into the background locks it.
This protects access inside the app; it is not separate file encryption. Ordinary backups exclude private content, and copies outside the app remain outside that protection. Forgetting the PIN requires confirming deletion of local private content before setting a new one. Read the full support information.
Keep a backup you have checked
Export an ordinary collection backup to Files, or enable automatic backup to a chosen folder such as iCloud Drive. These unencrypted backups contain ordinary videos, categories, collections, progress and notes. Private content and unfinished collection download state are excluded.
Confirm the backup is usable before deleting files, changing devices or uninstalling. Learn what a purchase and a backup do—and do not—cover.
